★★★★★ 5.0 · A relaxed Boardwalk favorite known for tasty fish tacos, Caribbean-inspired dishes, refreshing cocktails, and friendly service. Its casual atmosphere makes it a popular stop while exploring Philipsburg.
Lazy Lizard was founded by Nikhil (Nik), who grew up on St. Maarten and in the tourism industry — his parents owned a jewelry store in town — and who remains a deeply engaged citizen today as a volunteer police officer and COCI board member. Nik had a passion for food and drinks and wanted to build something that wasn’t a tourist trap, so he opened Lazy Lizard as a spot locals and visitors could genuinely share.
You’ll find it at the “head of town,” tucked right behind Diamond Casino and Orco Bank and next to Bobby’s Marina — an easy walk from the cruise port along the boardwalk. Shaded indoor seating and a beautiful outdoor terrace let you choose your spot, with palm trees offering shade, a fresh ocean breeze, and views over the marina.
A beautiful beachfront atmosphere perfectly for a relaxed lunch and dinner

The kitchen prides itself on fresh food, made to order. The homemade chicken tenders, hamburgers, and the incredible jerk chicken Philly sandwich or taco are a must. Craving something more local? Go for the curry chicken, oxtail stew, whole fried red snapper, or banana-vanilla ribs — and the kitchen comfortably accommodates gluten-free, celiac, and other dietary needs.
At the bar, six local beers flow on draught alongside homemade rums in multiple flavors, and the margaritas are always shaken fresh
Never a premix. Try the beer flight or rum flight for the ultimate tasting experience. Five TVs keep every sports game on, and secure parking is available at Bobby’s Marina.
About 150 m (about 500 ft) away along the lighted boardwalk. and a natural stop while you wait for the ferry to St. Barths, Saba, or Statia — they all depart from this area.
