You can use the Buccaneer beach bar and restaurant as a daytime base to enjoy KimSha beach while having access to a Caribbean cocktail or refreshing beer. Or visit for a nighly escape with sea breeze, dinner and music. Their kitchen is open day and night for you to indulge in freshly prepared dishes.
The original owners, Jill & Bernard were travelers who originated from USA & South Africa, they met in SXM and started Buccaneer as a passion project. As Buccaneer grew they decided to sell to two Islanders Reza and Dudley, who now set the standers and further improved this multi-cultural and laidback location.
With the friendly team around, the place runs smoothly and you’ll see smiles all-around.
The kitchen serves international cuisine from American to Jamaican and Italian to Caribbean.
When visiting Buccaneer, one must try their mouthwatering BBQ dishes, featuring ribs, chicken, fish, or lobster grilled to perfection.
Another favorite is to build your own Burger. And for our vegetarian friends, we recommend trying the Impossible Burger or one of our tasty salads.
The chefs are proud to be the only ones in SXM having a gluten-free pizza, as well as regular pizza!
As the sun always shines on the beach and with friendly service, this is a party central, offering great happy hours from 4 to 7 pm and live music regularly in the evenings. A truly Caribbean tradition & cultural experience, and a great place to meet friends or other like-minded people.

Daily Happy Hours from 5 to 7 pm with $3 house mixes, and 2 for 1 on beers and a selection of frozen drinks.
